The Farm Clinic can sample at different grid sizes ranging from 1 to 2.5 acres or by production zones. We mark and gather multiple cores from each grid to be processed in the lab and the results organized by each individual sample.

Our soil tests include soil pH, lime requirement (buffer pH), phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and cation exchange capacity. Also trace elements/micronutrient tests including zinc, manganese, copper, iron and sulfur.

After the soil is analyzed and results are ready, we develop fertilizer programs.  Variable rate fertilizer applications as well as lime, can be utilized as well as taking into account yield data for a field if available.  Organic fertilizer recommendations can be made with approved organic fertilizer sources.  The Farm Clinic is an independent company with no ties to any fertilizer or chemical companies.
